Steward Board
This pastor appointed position is responsible for the spiritual well-being of the church which includes but not limited to caring for the pastors needs, keeping record of church events and other duties. Stewards are also reposible for communing the sick and shut-in and elderly.
Mission
To glorify God through the gifts He has given tous, by serving our pastor and congregation using the Word of God to uplift, encourage and teach; being accountable to the charge given as Stewards, trusting "that all things work together for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28) and knowing "with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."(Matthew 19:26)
Trustee Board
This is an elected position of the church which is resposible for the physical condition of the church which include but not limited to managing real estate, maintenance and property of the church.
Stewardess Board
This board assist the Steward Board and is responsible for providing and setting up all elements required for Holy Communion and Holy Baptism and maintaining pulpit.
Christian Education
The Christian Education Department provides support for all ministries of the African Methodist Episcopal Church keeping the charge TO MAKE DISCIPLES (Matthew 28:19,20)
Mission Statement
The Department of Christian Education is dedeicated to the responsibility of developing standards, preparing programs, educating Christians, and other trainings in accordance with tradition and doctrine of the A.M.E. Church.
Class Leaders
This organization works as a bridge between the congregation and the pastor. Class Leaders connect with members of the congregation by calling, emailing and if necessary send cards to check on the well being of a member. They provide the pastor with information of a members physical, emotional or spiritual status.
Lay Organization
The purpose of this organization is to organize and train the laity of the AME Church so that lay persons may maximally utilize their God given abilities and skills to improve and extend the kingdom to create happiness, peace, and harmony among its members.

The Lay Organization is commissioned to teach, train and empower its members for lay ministry, global leadership and service following the tenets of Jesus Christ.
Missionaries
The Cora E. Philmore Missionary Society is committed to supporting the mission of the church and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve Hemingway Temple, the community of Cherry Hill and abroad by advocating for peace, justice and human rights for families, the elderly and providing food, clothing and other assistance to those in need.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry of Hemingway Temple A.M.E. Church ministers in various genres such as traditonal, contemporary gospel and hymns of the church. Their vision is:
" to be an authentic community of true worshippers singing in unity with the purpose to uplift, inspire and empower; bringing forth the presence of God."

Sons of Allen
The "Lee-Ballard Unit" of the Sons of Allen at Hemingway Temple A.M.E. Church is a ministry of the clergy and lay, formed to address the needs for distinctive ministries to men who are faced with spiritual, social, political and psychological challenges, to equip ment to follow the example of Andrew (St John 1:41,42) who brought Peter to Jesus; to encourge men to emulate the resolute and redemptive spirit of Richard Allen.
